And it's been a while....

So, sorry that I haven't updated in so long. The looming beast of school work has me paralyzed! But, in a mad effort at escape, I drew this cool little butterfly guy yesterday. I'm still figuring out how my pens work, so there is a splotch on his shoulder.

(Here the author ponders entering into an elitist rant about the joys and superiorities of the Moleskine, but then decides not to bring up such things.)

A major thing I have gained over the past two semesters is this recipe for guaranteed happiness: magic markers. Seriously, has anyone else discovered this? Nothing expresses that staple ironic naivety like a nice pastel colored marker! And no experience provides such easy access to a place of creative freedom and innocence as that of finding yourself surrounded in a foliage of markers, with one in your hand, two in your mouth, and the ink from all the others covering your fingers. And so, should anyone else be confronted by the Grendels that rise up from end-of-school stress, I suggest you unsheathe the swords of swords: the marker.

Anywho, if you want to see way better drawings (as well as an unbeatable source of artistic inspiration), you should check out this excellent Moleskine blog. Good luck to y'all in the upcoming weeks!
